Tow-in boards ......

The nature of this "powered up" sport demands that the surfboards used are not
going to be paddled into the wave thereby allowing designers to take away all the
additional volume in the board .

Stripping it down to the bare essentials and then tuning each aspect to its limit
is the challenge for shapers in this ultimate surf sport.

Length is the first thing to go in this quest with most riders around margarets using
6'3 " 's by around 16" to 17" wide. Thickness is further diminished although this is
tempered by rail volume which cannot go too thin . these dimension are for boards
surfing up to 15' waves,if glassed "up " for the purpose. (6 x 6 oz deck layup) for smaller
surf up to 8' it is not necessary for it to be so heavy.

The extra weight is necessary for the board to maintain its momentum thru turns and
stop excessive bounce on chop at high speeds.

For waves beyond 15' boards can be as long as 7' and glassed way up for momentum.

Rockers are generally a lot flatter and smoother although some interesting things are
emerging with the addition of some solid concave. they keep speed while having more
rail rocker thus tightening up turns if necessary.

All our boards have multi position deck inserts fully glassed over and widestyle footstraps
for comfort and safety. the extra wide (100ml) straps cover the whole top of your foot
and therefore dont need to be as tight as conventional footstraps. this allows them to
be quickly kicked off in a wipeout situation. each boards is supplied with a thicker
deckpad to absorb the bounce off chop as well as secure grip in conjunction with the straps.
